## 1. Dua Before Eating

Abu Dawud

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

Translation

In the name of Allah.

💡 If you forget to say it at the beginning, say: Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu (In the name of Allah at its beginning and its end).

## 2. Dua After Eating

Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhee at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin

Translation

Praise be to Allah who fed us and gave us drink and made us Muslims.

## 3. Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar)

Abu Dawud

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahaba az-zama'u wabtallatil-'uruqu wa thabatal-ajru insha'Allah

Translation

The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

💡 Recite at Iftar time when breaking the fast during Ramadan or any voluntary fast. The dua of the fasting person at the moment of breaking fast is not rejected.
