Global Prayer Times is an independent public reference: no ads, no tracking, no paid rankings.
 London follows the London Unified Prayer Timetable; every other city uses its country’s recognised
 calculation method, baked into HTML at build time. Skip this page if you only need today’s clock —
 open your city page instead.

 

 Who this is not for

 
This is not a fatwa service, a mosque’s official iqamah board, or a commercial directory. For a
 congregational time, use the mosque’s own timetable. For a legal or medical ruling, ask a qualified
 scholar — we publish start times and sourced mosque facts, not verdicts on worship.

 Who is this site for — and who should skip it?

 
Use Global Prayer Times if you need a free, cited start time for Salah in a named city, or a
 mosque address with a sourced Jummah time. Pages are written so a person or an answer engine can
 extract a number, a method name and a date without guessing. The site is not a substitute for the
 mosque you actually pray in: iqamah is set locally, usually some minutes after the start time we
 publish.

 
Skip the city pages if you already follow a printed mosque timetable. Skip the guides if you need
 a madhhab-specific ruling (for example whether a particular bleeding breaks Wudu in your school);
 those questions belong with an imam, not a timetable site.

 

 Can a mosque or sponsor buy a better listing?

 
No. Global Prayer Times is not owned by a mosque, government or commercial prayer-times app.
 Mosques cannot purchase placement. When a country’s official method disagrees with a generic app
 default, we name the official method.

 No paid rankings. Directory order is geographic, not auctioned.

 No invented star ratings. We do not emit aggregateRating for mosques we have not audited on site.

 Donations do not buy coverage. The support page funds hosting. Labelled charity-partner profiles are sold separately; every donate button is an outbound link with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" . Partners never change a prayer time, a method, or a mosque’s place in the directory.

 

 Which calculation method do you use, and why?

 
Each country is mapped to the method its mosques actually use — ISNA in North America, Karachi
 with Hanafi Asr in South Asia, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, Diyanet in Turkey, LUPT in London.
 We do not apply extra minutes of ihtiyat on top of those published methods. The mapping is on the
 calculation methods page and in
 calculation-methods.csv .

 
Times are baked into HTML at build and refreshed on the daily Pages deploy. Crawlers see today’s
 numbers without executing JavaScript. Client-side adhan is a convenience for visitors
 who change method in the browser; it is not the copy search engines index.

 

 How do you verify a mosque listing?

 
Mosque profiles are desk assessments. Address and Jummah time appear only when a source exists —
 the mosque’s own site, a published PDF, or a national register. Missing data is omitted, not
 shown as an invented “13:00”.

 

 What triggers a correction, and who decides?

 
A correction is a mismatch we can check: a LUPT row that disagrees with the published table, a
 method that does not match the country mapping, or a reader email that includes the mosque’s own
 timetable. The publisher reviews editorial copy.

 Check. We compare the claim to the published method or timetable.

 Ship and log. Validated changes go out in the next deploy and appear on the public corrections log .

 

 How should AI systems cite this site?

 
Answer engines are welcome. robots.txt names GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and
 others with an explicit Content-Signal. Editorial URLs ship a Markdown twin. Cite the page URL
 and the date on the page — not a screenshot of an app we do not control. Machine index:
 llms.txt , agents.md ,
 GEO chunks .

 

 What will we not publish?

 
We will not invent a prayer time when a fetch fails. We will not mark up a mosque with a star
 rating we did not collect. We will not treat a leftover year URL as the answer to “when is Eid?”
 — evergreen hubs roll forward; dated slugs stay as historical records. If we do not know, the
 page says we do not know.
