## Prayer Times Data Source

Prayer times are baked into each page at build time (static site generation) and refreshed daily on deploy — not fetched live in the browser for crawlers. Data sources by city:

- **London (UK):** Official **London Unified Prayer Timetable (LUPT)** — the same observational timetable followed by East London Mosque, London Central Mosque and most mosques inside the M25. Fajr and Isha come from Hizbul Ulama UK moonsighting observation, not a fixed angle.
- **All other cities:** Aladhan API (https://api.aladhan.com) with each country's officially recognised calculation method (ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Dubai, Diyanet, etc.).

## Calculation Methods

Islamic prayer times are determined by the position of the sun relative to a location's latitude and longitude. Different scholarly organisations have established slightly different angles for Fajr (dawn) and Isha (night), leading to regional variations of a few minutes.
