What Global Prayer Times collects (almost nothing): no accounts, no ad trackers, on-device location, build-time prayer times, and Stripe only on Stripe’s domain.

Quick Answer 
Global Prayer Times is built to collect as little as possible: no accounts, no advertising trackers and no sale of personal data. Location for the qibla finder and nearby-times features is processed in your browser and never stored on our servers. This policy below explains the limited technical data involved in serving the site.

 1. Data collected

 Global Prayer Times does not collect any personal data. We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising networks. Your city selection is stored only in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.

 

 2. Third-party services

 Prayer times that search engines and visitors without JavaScript see are baked into HTML at build time from each country’s recognised method (Aladhan at build for most cities; London Unified for London). The browser may also run the open-source adhan library on your device if you change method in the UI. That calculation does not send your location to our servers.

 Location is opt-in only. If you tap "Use my location", your browser asks for GPS permission and we match your coordinates to the nearest city entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party. We do not use IP-based geolocation.

 

 3. Browser notifications

 If you enable prayer reminders, your browser handles the notification scheduling entirely on-device. We do not use push notification services or store any notification tokens.

 

 4. Payments

 Optional reader support and charity-partner checkout use Stripe Payment Links on Stripe’s domain. We never process donation cards on globalprayertimes.org. Charity donate buttons leave this site and carry rel="sponsored nofollow" .
