Tasbeeh Counter

 Quick Answer
Yes — this browser counter needs no app or account. Use it for SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah and
Allahu Akbar. Skip this page for the full Arabic list after Salah — that is
 dhikr after prayer .

 Who this is not for

Not a replacement for counting on the fingers, which is the Sunnah method. A digital tally is a
helper. The 33-33-33 plus tahlil narration and the 33-33-34 variant are both reported.

 What is the post-prayer tasbeeh?

It is Sunnah to recite the following after every obligatory prayer:

SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah) — 33 times

Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) — 33 times

AllahuAkbar (Allah is the Greatest) — 33 times, then the completing tahlil (or 34 in a common variant)

This totals 100 remembrances after each prayer. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever glorifies Allah after every prayer 33 times, praises Allah 33 times, and magnifies Allah 33 times — that is 99 — and completes 100 by saying La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah… his sins will be forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea." (Muslim 597)

 Counting on fingers (Sunnah method)

The Prophet ﷺ counted dhikr on his right hand fingers (Tirmidhi). Each hand has 15 countable joints — count on one hand through 33, then switch or continue. A digital counter helps when both hands are occupied or for longer adhkar like Istighfar.

 Other common dhikr counts

Morning & evening adhkar — see our dua collection

Istighfar — the Prophet ﷺ sought forgiveness 70–100 times daily

After Wudu: Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah (×2) — a gate of Paradise opens (Muslim 234)

Before sleep: Ayat al-Kursi, the three Quls (112–114), and the sleeping duas
