Times are calculated using the officially recognised method for each region, based on established Islamic scholarly standards:

• North America (US, Canada): ISNA — Islamic Society of North America (15°/15°)
• South Asia (Pakistan, Bangladesh, India): Karachi — University of Islamic Sciences (18°/18°, Hanafi Asr)
• Gulf (UAE): Dubai IACAD — Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Dept (18.2°/18.2°)
• Saudi Arabia: Umm al-Qura — Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah (18.5°, Isha fixed 90 min)
• Turkey: Diyanet — Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (18°/17°, Hanafi Asr)
• Egypt: Egyptian General Authority of Survey (19.5°/17.5°)
• London (UK): Official London Unified Prayer Timetable (LUPT) — observational, not a fixed Fajr/Isha angle. Used by East London Mosque, London Central Mosque and most mosques inside the M25.
• UK outside London: Moonsighting Committee Worldwide (15°/15°)
• Indonesia & Malaysia: Ministry of Religious Affairs, Indonesia (20°/18°)

Where do the prayer times come from?

Prayer times are sourced from the Aladhan API — an open-source Islamic prayer times engine that implements the established astronomical algorithms (Jean Meeus, Astronomical Algorithms) used by major Islamic organisations worldwide. Times are recalculated daily for each city's precise coordinates and are accurate to the minute. Users can switch calculation methods via the settings panel on any city page.
