What time is Eid prayer?
Salat al-Eid is prayed in congregation 20–45 minutes after sunrise — never at sunrise itself. There is no Adhan or Iqamah, and larger mosques run several Jamaats through the morning. On Eid al-Adha the Sunnah is to pray first and eat afterwards, from the Qurbani meat.

🐑 Qurbani (Udhiyah)
Qurbani is the sacrifice of a halal animal on the days of Eid — Sun 16 May – Tue 18 May (10–12 Dhu al-Hijjah 1448 AH). The meat is traditionally divided into thirds: family, relatives and friends, and the poor.

How Eid dates are decided
Dhu al-Hijjah begins with the new crescent moon, and Eid al-Adha is its 10th day. Countries that follow the calculated Umm al-Qura calendar (such as Saudi Arabia) can fix the date in advance; communities that wait for a physical sighting confirm it on the 29th night of Dhu al-Qa'dah.
