About Auburn Gallipoli Mosque
The Auburn Gallipoli Mosque was built by Sydney's Turkish community and opened in 1999. Named in memory of Turkish soldiers who fell at Gallipoli, its Ottoman-style architecture — with a central dome, semi-domes, and slender minarets — is one of the most striking examples of traditional Islamic architecture in Australia. The mosque serves the large Turkish community of western Sydney.
