About Anderkilla Mosque

The Anderkilla Mosque (Inner Fort Mosque) was built during Mughal rule in 1667 when the Mughals captured Chittagong from the Arakanesse. It is one of the oldest mosques in the city and a symbol of the Mughal period in Bangladesh. The mosque stands in the historic heart of Chittagong and has been a place of worship for over 350 years.
