About Masjid-e-Tooba
Masjid-e-Tooba in Defence Housing Authority is one of Karachi's most distinctive landmarks. Designed by Dr Babar Hamid Chauhan, its singular feature is a flat self-supporting dome 72 metres in diameter — one of the largest single-dome structures in the world. The entire mosque is made of white marble, and its clean, modernist design has made it a symbol of Karachi.
