About Badshahi Mosque
The Badshahi Mosque was built between 1671 and 1673 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and remained the largest mosque in the world for 313 years until the completion of the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. Its vast red sandstone courtyard can hold 100,000 worshippers.
