About Masjid Mahabat Khan
Masjid Mahabat Khan was built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan around 1630 by the then-Governor of Peshawar, Nawab Mahabat Khan. The mosque is renowned for its richly decorated interior, with intricate frescoes and painted plasterwork covering the ceilings and walls. Two of its original four minarets survive, from which the adhan has been called for nearly four centuries.
