About Abu Bakr Mosque (Cambridge)

Abu Bakr Mosque, also known as the Abu Bakr Siddiq Islamic Centre, opened on Mawson Road in 1981 and is the oldest mosque in Cambridge. It is run by the Cambridge Muslim Welfare Society (registered charity no. 273568), whose objects include providing a place of worship for Muslims in Cambridge, supporting the local Muslim community, and fostering interfaith dialogue. The mosque holds daily prayers, Friday Jummah congregations and children's Islamic/Quranic studies, and states its doors are open to all communities.
