About Anwaar ul Haramain Jamé Masjid

Anwaar ul Haramain Jamé Masjid — widely known by its former abbreviation AHJM and now also branded as Manchester Masjid — is one of the largest and most prominent mosques in north Manchester. Situated on Bury Old Road in Crumpsall (M8 5EL), the mosque serves a wide catchment area covering Crumpsall, Cheetham Hill, Collyhurst, Moston and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The mosque is managed by the Ibad-ur-Rahman Trust and provides the five daily prayers, the Friday Jumu'ah congregation, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers, and taraweeh during the blessed month of Ramadan. A Madrassah runs classes for children in Quran recitation, Islamic studies and Arabic, and the mosque provides marriage registration, janazah (funeral) services and community welfare support.
