About Tottenham Mosque

Masjid Ayesha was established in 1982 in Tottenham and was originally known simply as "Tottenham Mosque." In April 2006 it was renamed Masjid Ayesha — after Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad — to coincide with a major rebuilding programme of the mosque and its community centre. It operates as part of the Islamic Community Centre (registered charity no. 1012023) and serves the diverse Muslim community of Tottenham and Haringey, offering daily and Friday prayers, a madrasah/Qur'an classes, a weekly sisters' circle, and youth and community programmes.
