Eccles Mosque

The Eccles and Salford Islamic Society, commonly known as Eccles Mosque, is a Sunni mosque located at 5 Liverpool Road in Eccles, within the City of Salford, Greater Manchester. It is a registered charity (number 516270) that was entered on the Charity Commission's register on 14 January 1986. According to the Charity Commission, the organisation exists to advance the Islamic religion in Eccles and Salford, Swinton, Irlam and Worsley through the provision of a mosque and education in the principles of the Islamic faith.

The mosque serves a predominantly Arab congregation and is run by an Arab management committee. It operates a range of community services including the five daily prayers, religious education, and community events such as its "Taste Ramadan" gathering. Prayers are broadcast live online via Mixlr, and the mosque publishes a monthly prayer timetable on its website.

Its most recently filed accounts (financial year 2024) reported income of approximately £231,000 and expenditure of around £162,000, reflecting an active congregation and ongoing community programmes serving children, older people, people with disabilities and the wider public.
