Scunthorpe Islamic Centre

Scunthorpe Islamic Centre operates under the registered charity Pakistan Islamic, Social and Cultural Centre (charity no. 1008763) at 4 Parkinson Avenue, and has served the local Muslim community from a converted terraced building since the early 1990s. It supports a diverse congregation including Pakistani, Bengali, Kurdish, Afghan, Somali and Arab worshippers, providing daily and Friday prayers, Islamic education, dawah, funeral and welfare services. Following roughly 40% growth in the area's Muslim population between the 2011 and 2021 censuses, in December 2023 the centre entered a legal agreement to acquire a quarter-hectare site and raised over £455,000 toward a new purpose-built masjid for North Lincolnshire.
