About Jama Masjid Delhi
Jama Masjid in Old Delhi is the largest and most well-known mosque in India. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, it took 12 years and 5,000 workers to complete. The mosque has three domes, four minarets, and a vast courtyard capable of holding 25,000 worshippers. Relics of the Prophet ﷺ were once kept here. The Jama Masjid remains one of the most visited religious sites in India.
