About Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre

Al-Manaar — the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre — is a beautifully designed Islamic centre in Notting Hill, west London. Opened in 2001 in a striking purpose-built building, Al-Manaar is widely regarded as one of the most architecturally impressive and culturally significant mosques in London.

The centre is renowned for its active programme of interfaith dialogue, community outreach, and support for vulnerable people — including its pioneering work with Grenfell Tower survivors following the 2017 fire, for which it received widespread recognition. Al-Manaar provides five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Islamic education, new Muslim support, counselling, and extensive welfare services, and is known nationally for its open, welcoming, and community-focused ethos.
